Composition and release form
100 mg film-coated tablet №20

1 tablet contains:
Active Ingredients: Natamycin 100 mg.
Excipients: potato starch, polyvinylpyrrolidone, magnesium stearate, lactose,
membrane composition:
Cellulose acetate phthalate, triacetin, sucrose, methyl-para hydroxybenzoate, calcium carbonate, talc, koalin, titanium dioxide, acacia (gumarabic), gelatin, opaglos 6000.

: Pharmacodynamic antacids
Reveals fungicidal action. Natamycin binds sterols to cell membranes, causing the death of microorganisms by disrupting their integrity and function. Most pathogenic yeast fungi are susceptible to natamycin. Especially Candida albicans. Less sensitive to dermatophytes. Natamycin resistance is not found in clinical practice. Pharmacokinetics
Natamycin is not absorbed in the digestive tract.

Indications for intestinal candidiasis;
Acute pseudomembranous and acute atrophic candidiasis in patients with cachexia, immune deficiency, as well as after therapy with antibiotics, corticosteroids, cytostatic agents; Sanitation of the intestinal reservoir from Candida fungi in candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes, including candidal vaginitis, vulvitis, vulvovaginitis.

Dosage and administration
For intestinal candidiasis, Adults are prescribed 1 tablet 4 times a day for an average of one week.
Children are prescribed 1 tablet 2 times a day. In the persistent course of vaginitis caused by Candida fungi, intestinal tablets for intestinal candidiasis are prescribed to be taken orally (1 tablet 4 times daily for 10-20 days) in combination with topical antifungal drugs (eg, pimafucin suppositories). The duration of the course of treatment is determined individually. After the disappearance of the symptoms of the disease, it is recommended to continue the treatment for a few more days.

Side effects on the part of SMT:
possible nausea and diarrhea (appears in the first days of taking the tablets and disappears by itself during treatment).

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation
Pimafucin can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Special instructions
Pimafucin is practically not absorbed in the intestine, which makes the treatment safe and allows its use in newborns.

Overdose
At present, no cases of overdose of the drug pimafucin have been reported.

The interaction of pimafucin with other medicinal products has not been described.
