Enko Bacteriophage Annotation
ENKO bacteriophage is a mixture of sterile filtrates of phagocytes of the following bacteria:
- Shigella flexneri (1, 2, 3, 4, 6 serovans) and Sh. sonnei
- Salmonella (typhimurium, enteritidis, heidelberg, newport, cholera suis, oranienburg, Dublin, anatum)
- Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli
- Staphylococcus aureus
- ENKO bacteriophage is a transparent white or yellowish liquid
Causes specific lysis of following bacteria species:
Shigella flexneri, shigella sonnei, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella choleraesuis, Salmonella oranienburg, Salmonella Newport, Salmonella Dublin, Salmonella anatum; enteropathogenic Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus.
ENKO bacteriophage is used for treatment and prophylaxis of purulent-septic and enteric infections caused by the above-mentioned microorganisms.
Gastrointestinal infectious diseases: gastroenterocolitis, dysbacteriosis (bacterial overgrowth syndrome); cholecystitis, staphylococcal toxic infection; dysentery.
Recommended doses of ENKO bacteriophage are as follows:
|Age||Per os/Per Day||Per rectum/Per Day|
|Infants 0-6 months||5ml 1 time, 30 min before feeding||10ml once a day|
|Kids 6-12 months||5ml 2 times, 30 min before feeding||10ml once a day|
