Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, dibasic calcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, silicon dioxide, menthol essence.
Pharmacological properties
Combined immunostimulating drug of bacterial origin, obtained by mechanical lysis of microbial cells. Ismigen increases the body's defenses against microorganisms that cause upper respiratory tract infections of the bronchopulmonary tract. Stimulates both local cellular and humoral immune responses in the mucous membrane of the respiratory system, as well as systemic immune responses.
The protective effect of Ismigen against experimental infections has been established by immunoelectrodiffusion, which is manifested by the induction of specific antibodies - immunoglobulins (IgA and IgG), stimulation of T and B lymphocytes, ciliary cells, production of interleukins, stimulation of phagocytosis and macrophage function. No depressant or stimulating effect of the drug on the cardiovascular or respiratory systems has been detected.
The immunostimulating properties of Ismigen are due to:
- restoration of impaired functions of T-lymphocyte membranes in selective IgA deficiency
- significant increase in the response, which is not characteristic of mitoclonal mitogens in a healthy or diseased body
- slight increase in the circulation of immune complexes.
The specific immune response of patients treated with Ismigen was demonstrated by in vitro stimulation of lymphocytes, which affects the supporting effect of the macrophage-monocyte system.
